Highland Ventures to Relocate HQ to Brentwood, Invest $8.2 Million

By Herald Reports

Williamson Herald

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and Highland Ventures Ltd. officials announced Monday the company will invest $8.2 million to relocate its headquarters operations from Glenview, Illinois, to Brentwood.

“Our strong business climate and highly skilled workforce attract key businesses like Highland Ventures to Tennessee,” Lee said. “I thank this company for its commitment to job creation in Williamson County and look forward to seeing its headquarters thrive in our state.”

Highland Ventures will create 80 new jobs in Williamson County over the next five years.

“With a central location and top-tier workforce, the Northern Middle Tennessee region is becoming a hotspot for companies to do business,” McWhorter said. “We appreciate Highland Ventures’ investment in Williamson County and believe Brentwood will be the ideal location for their new headquarters.”

Located at 209 Powell Place, Highland Ventures’ new Tennessee headquarters will serve as the business hub for the company’s well-known brands: Family Veterinary Group, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24, Highland Pure Water & Ice and Legacy Commercial Property.

“The greater Nashville region is turning into a foodservice, health care and real estate hub that fits our growth strategy across all business lines,” said Keith Hoogland, president and CEO of Highland Ventures Ltd. We are thrilled to be opening a new Highland Ventures corporate office just south of Nashville in Brentwood, Tennessee.”

Founded in 1984, Highland Ventures Ltd. is a holding company to top brands in the restaurant, fitness, video rental and commercial real estate industries. Today, the company employs roughly 2,500 people across the country.

“TVA and Nashville Electric Service congratulate Highland Ventures on its decision to establish operations in Williamson County,” said John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of economic development. “Working with our partners like Williamson, Inc. and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to help attract and retain quality jobs and investment in the Valley is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service. We are proud to celebrate this announcement and look forward to Highland Ventures’ future business success.”

Since 2018, TNECD has supported nearly 140 economic development projects in the Northern Middle Tennessee region, resulting in more than 40,000 job commitments and $7 billion in capital investment.
