Legacy Commercial Property, a Highland Ventures Company and national leader in convenience-focused retail real estate, today announces its expansion into the Huntsville, Alabama market with the acquisition of the Hunnington Center. The newly acquired retail plaza provides more than 55,000 square feet of highly visible retail space in one of Alabama’s fastest-growing communities.

Legacy Commercial Property has acquired 525 N. Tryon Street, a 19-story, 425,300-square-foot Class A office tower in Charlotte’s Uptown district, for $24 million — significantly below its prior appraised value of nearly $100 million.

Legacy Commercial Property recently purchased the Jeffersonville, IN retail property formerly known as the Youngstown Shopping Center, which will now be called Legacy Shoppes at Jeffersonville.

Built in 2014 near the intersection of Meeting and Market streets in Charleston, 174 Meeting was fully leased at the time of sale to tenants including Truist Bank, Thrive Co-Working, Stifel Financial Corp. and Evening Post Industries.

Located at 209 Powell Place, Highland Ventures’ new Tennessee headquarters will serve as the business hub for the company’s well-known brands.

“As a company, we’re writing three to six leases a week. The buildings are filling fast. We’ve picked A+ real estate and they’re leasing well.”
